FAQs

  • What is the behavior Policy?

Positive redirection is our first choice when correcting behavior. If a child exhibits harmful behavior, a parent could be called to pick them up. If there is consistent violent nature such as biting or hitting, that child may be dismissed from the school.

  • How much does OKCS Preschool cost?

There is an annual registration and materials fee of $200. There is also monthly tuition depending on which plan you have selected for your child.

  • What is the student to teacher ratio?

  • What do I need to supply?

If your child will be staying for full day, they will need a crib sheet and blanket for rest time. Children should have at least 2 changes of clothes in their cubby, and we encourage them to bring a water cup as well.

  • Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Children must be potty-trained by 3 and a half. Meaning they are capable of pulling up and down their own underwear, wiping themselves, and communicating to a teacher they need to use the restroom.

  • How do you communicate with parents?

We have an app called BrightWheel which is used to communicate. BrightWheel is also used for registration, checking your child in and out, and billing

Our toddler unit has a 6-1 ratio, while children 2 through Pre-k have a 12-1 ratio.

  • What is your sick policy for children?

A child who has been sent home due to a fever or illness must stay home the following day. They are welcomed to return to school when they are fever free. Rashes, red eyes, or any concerning physical features will need a doctor's note to return. For Specific illness policies, please check out the parent handbook.

  • What safety measures do you have in place?

We teach the children standard safety drills such as earthquake and fire drills. We also keep all gates and front doors locked during hours of service. During pick up, we check IDs of those who aren't recognized. Children may also not be picked up by people not on a list provided by the parents.
